Liposculpting

Liposculpting, or liposuction, is a procedure Elizabeth Renaker-Jansen, DO, can perform to contour your body and reduce the appearance of fat bulges.

Liposculpting is a procedure to refine and contour the body by removing fat cells that remain regardless of diet and exercise.

For patients who have tried diet, exercise, and everything else to reduce fat in areas like the tummy, legs, arms, breasts, and more, liposculpting might be exactly what you're looking for.

Our plastic surgeon performs liposculpting on patients with firm skin elasticity who are at a healthy weight and have areas of fat that diet and exercise won't eliminate.

To perform liposculpting, Dr. Renaker-Jansen uses the tumescent method. Your surgeon first injects a saline, painkiller, and epinephrine solution into the area she is liposculpting. The solution helps reduce pain and loss of blood, while making it easier to remove fat. Then with a suction-type tool or syringe, she can remove the fat through small incisions.

This procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Recovery usually takes about two weeks.
