Rhinoplasty

Patients who are unhappy with their noses turn to Dr. Renaker-Jansen to help them achieve the look they want with rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty can change not only the appearance of the nose, but it can have a positive impact on how your entire face looks!

Our plastic surgeon can perform rhinoplasty to give your nose and face a more balanced look, make the nose smaller or larger, and get rid of bumps and other issues you may be having.

There are two types of rhinoplasty surgeries: open surgery and closed surgery. With open rhinoplasty, your surgeon will make the incisions on the outside of the nose; this is for rhinoplasty procedures that will require a little more work. During a closed rhinoplasty, your surgeon can make the incisions on the inside of the nose. To give your nose a new shape, she will either remove, add to, or refine cartilage and bone. After reshaping the nose, the surgeon will stitch or suture the incisions.

A rhinoplasty typically takes two to four hours and is performed under general anesthesia. You will probably need to wear a mustache pad/drip pad for one to two days and a splint for five to seven days. Total recovery time is one to two weeks.
